Owls are a favorite subject for Bill to photograph, however, due to their superb hiding skills, and nocturnal nature, they provide a unique set of challenges as well.

Located in central Minnesota, Bill watched this screech owl sit near someone’s house for hours. Just at sunset he took off for food - leaving his urban backdrop for a more scenic natural one. Because of how quickly night falls, Bill was ready to push his camera to the max. This photo was taken under the veil of night, resulting in its blue hues.
